Toddler Time- Children ages 18 months- 3.5 years old and an adult helper!

This class is for ages 18 months – 3 yrs (and a grown up). It is offered every Thursday, from 2:00pm – 2:30pm. This class is structured and focuses on socialization and developing basic fine and gross motor skills We will have fun with stories, songs, activities and crafts!

 

Story Time- Children ages 3.5 to 5

This class is for ages 3 – 5 yrs, we meet every Tuesday, from 2:00pm – 3:00pm, and focus on early educational themes. During the course of the year we will learn about many different things in our world, such as, seasons, animals, and our bodies. There will be songs, stories, and crafts to enjoy each week.

 

Twilight Tales- Kids in kindergarten through 5th grade

This class is offered for kids ages Kindergarten – 5th grade; meeting every Wednesday from 4:00 – 5:00 PM. Twilight Tales is full of hands on fun with lots crafts and activities! This class works on developing the child’s ability to follow instructions, getting along as a group, and social skills.

 

Teen Hang Out Hour- Young adults 6 to 12th grade

This group meets every Tuesday of the month from 5:30 – 6:30 PM. Teens will meet to socialize, do crafts, and play games! Come check it out and give input on what you’d like to do!

Coloring, Crafts, & Creations

Come in every second Saturday of the month, any time between 11 AM – 3 PM, to enjoy some coloring and crafting fun!  There will also be a coloring activity for children in Youth Services at this time.

 

Current Events Discussion

Talk about what’s happening in the world at Current Events discussion every first and third Tuesday of the month at 4 PM, hosted by Jordan Arehart.  Come out and let’s talk about it!

One on one computer classes will be held weekly on Wednesday from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM at each branch.  Please call the Elwood branches’ Adult Services Desk to schedule an appointment.

Mystery Book Club

This club meets the second Monday of each month, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.  We invite you to check out the current month’s mystery book and crack the case with us.

 

Science Fiction Book Club

This club meets every 3rd Saturday of the month, from 1pm – 2pm. Check out the current month’s sci-fi book at the front desk, and blast off into the world of Sci-Fi.

 

Watercolor Painting Class

Artist Jan Roland gives painting classes every 2nd Thursday of the month from 1:00-3:00 PM.  There is a $15 fee to cover the cost of supplies. Call to sign up!

 Family History Uncovered

Join Jamie Scott and Jordan Arehart every 3rd Thursday of the month, from 6-8pm to uncover your family’s history. You will be introduced to genealogy resources available at the Library and online. Bring what you know about your family history, and let’s discover your past!

 

The Write Idea

This inspiring class is led by Mary Hofer and is full of great instruction, fresh writing ideas, and lots of encouragement. We welcome you to visit and if you enjoy it, join our group! We meet every second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 3pm.

Community Parkview Care Center
